Get Fair Skin Naturally

Get Fair Skin Naturally

If you want to lighten your complexion, there are natural remedies that you can try to brighten your skin a few shades. Since many commercial creams are ineffective or unhealthy to use, turning to natural methods to get fairer skin is a smart choice. A common household ingredient — lemon juice — works especially well to lighten skin tone. Staying out of the sun and using natural facial masks will also keep your skin from getting darker. To learn more about getting fair skin using only natural techniques, see Step 1.
Method 1 of 3: Changing Your Routine
1
Protect yourself from the sun. Most of the normal darkening and discoloration of your skin is caused by exposure to the sun's ultraviolet (UV) rays. If you're extremely concerned about having fairer skin, staying indoors will keep your skin as light as possible. When that's not possible, protect your skin use SPF sunblock with a minimum SPF of 30.
  • Most dermatologists agree an SPF 15 is not sufficient anymore. Dangerous UVA and UVB rays are still reaching your skin. You want 98% or more of the sun's rays to be blocked.
  • Wear a hat to protect your face when you're outside. Especially in the summer. There are so many fashionable hats these days, you can also be a trend-setter while you are protecting your skin.
2 Exfoliate your skin a few times a week.
Doing manual exfoliation can really help to lighten the skin, since the process takes off dead skin cells. Keep in mind that exfoliation only helps if your current skin is darker than your normal skin tone, because it reveals fresh skin that is untouched by the sun.
  • You can exfoliate your skin manually by using a body scrub or face wash with exfoliating particles. To make your own, just add a teaspoon of ground almonds or oatmeal to your regular cleanser.
  • Using a scrub brush or a dry brush is a great way to exfoliate your entire body. For your face, use a special brush with softer bristles so you don't damage the fragile skin there.
  • There are also exfoliating machines, such as the Clarisonic, that dig a little deeper to thoroughly remove the top layer of skin.
3
Be realistic with your expectations. Skin that is already naturally dark is very hard to lighten more than a shade or two, especially using natural methods. Keeping your skin healthy by protecting it from the sun, exfoliating and using natural lightening methods is your best bet for keeping it on the lighter side in tone. Remember that consistency is the key, and do your facial treatments several times a week.

Method 2 of 3: Natural Lightening Treatments

Lemon juice rinse:
1
Make a lemon juice rinse. Lemon juice is a powerful lightener because it contains alpha-hydroxy acids (AHA) that act as a natural exfoliant, taking off the surface layer of the skin to expose the lighter skin underneath. The citric acid in lemon juice also creates a light bleaching effect (just like it does when you put it in your hair). By bathing your skin in a lemon juice rinse, you can lighten your skin a little for a fairer complexion.[1]
  • Squeeze the juice from half a lemon and add the same amount of water. You want to dilute it to half strength so it won't irritate your skin or get too sticky.
  • Dip a cotton ball in the mixture and apply it to your face, neck, chest, arms, and anywhere else you want your skin to be lighter.
  • Let the rinse sit on your skin for 20 minutes, then rinse it off with warm water. Don't go outside, since the lemon juice will cause your skin to be sensitive to sunlight.
  • Apply a moisturizer after the treatment, since lemon juice can dry out your skin.
  • Repeat three times a week for best results. Don't do it too often or your skin will become irritated.

Potato rub:
1
Rub your skin with raw potato. It's believed to have mild lightening properties because it contains a high amount of vitamin C.[citation needed] Other vegetables high in vitamin C, such as tomatoes and cucumbers, may also work if you don't have a potato handy. Vitamin C is often used in over-the-counter skin lightening creams, but you can get better results by just applying the potato directly to your skin. Several times a week, do the following:
  • Cut a potato into thick slices.
  • Rub the slices over the parts of your skin you want to lighten.
  • Let the moisture dry completely, then rinse it away with warm water.

Turmeric paste
1
Make a turmeric paste. Turmeric is an Indian spice that has been used to lighten skin for many centuries. It is believed to inhibit the production of melanin, which gives skin its darker color. While there's no definitive proof that it works, many have been happy with the results they get from using a turmeric paste on the skin to brighten it a few shades.[2] To make and use a turmeric paste, do the following:
  • Mix turmeric with enough olive oil to make a paste.
  • Apply it to your skin and spread it thinly over the areas you want to lighten.
  • Leave it to sit for 20 minutes, then rinse it away with warm water.

Aloe vera slather
1
Use pure aloe vera. This soothing substance is known for helping your skin heal after getting burned, but it also has a compound called anthraquinone that gently lightens the skin by removing the top layer of skin cells. You'll see aloe as an ingredient in a number of different creams and lotions, but for best results, use an aloe vera plant or get a bottle of pure aloe vera.[3]
  • Slather the aloe all over your skin.
  • Wait 20 minutes for it to dry and get absorbed.
  • You can rinse it off, or simply go about your day. Aloe is beneficial for the skin in so many ways that there's really no need to wash it away!
Coconut water:
1
Rinse your skin with coconut water. As with many natural remedies, no studies have been conducted to prove that coconut water can lighten the skin. However, individual users have found that using it as a rinse can lighten the skin in addition to making it soft and smooth.[4]
  • Get a bottle of 100 percent coconut water, or crack open your own young coconut to extract the water.
  • Dip a cotton ball in the water and apply it to your face and other areas you want to lighten.
  • Leave it on for 20 minutes, then rinse with warm water.
Method 3 of 3: Exfoliating Masks

Lemon honey mask:
1
Make a lemon honey mask. When you mix natural skin lighteners with exfoliants, you can create a mask that lightens the skin by both taking off the dark top layer of cells and lightly bleaching the fresh skin underneath. Try a mask made with lemon juice, honey (a natural moisturizer that offsets lemon's drying effects), and a teaspoon of ground oatmeal. Apply it to your face and anywhere else you want, leave it for 20 minutes, then wash it off.
  • As you wash off the mask, use the tips of your fingers to make gentle circular motions. The ground oatmeal will scrub the top layer of dead skin from your face, revealing lighter skin underneath.
  • If you have dry skin, use cucumber instead of lemon. Apply a mixture of equal amounts of cucumber juice and honey on the face and full body for 15 minutes, then wash it off.

Oatmeal turmeric mask:
1
Do an oatmeal turmeric mask. This is a good treatment to try if your skin is on the oily side, since it helps to cleanse the skin as well as lightening it. Mix 2 teaspoons of oatmeal powder, a pinch of turmeric, and a few drops of lemon juice to make a thick paste. Apply to your skin and leave it to dry. Wash off mask with water using gentle circular motions to exfoliate your skin as you go.

Yogurt or milk mask
1
Use plain yogurt or whole milk. They both contain alpha-hydroxy acids that gently exfoliate the skin. Mix plain, sugar-free yogurt or whole milk with enough ground oatmeal to make a paste, then apply it to your skin. Leave it in place for 20 minutes, then rinse with warm water using gentle circular motions.
  • It's important to use full-fat yogurt or milk, since skin doesn't contain the necessary enzyme.
  • You can also simply dip a cotton ball into the yogurt or milk and apply it to your skin, without using the oatmeal as an extra exfoliant.
Rosewater mask
1
Make a rosewater mask. Rosewater has properties that make it a great tool for gently lightening dark circles and other darker areas of skin.[5] To make a rosewater mask, combine two tablespoons of milk with one tablespoon of lemon juice, one tablespoon of gram flour, and 2 tablespoons of rosewater. Mix the ingredients together and apply as a mask. Leave it in place for 20 minutes, then rinse it off.

Hair Rebonding

Hair Rebonding is the technique to transform your unmanageable wavy and curly locks to a set of glossy, straight tresses having an appearance of a layer of black satin. It is the dream of all stylish women to have beautiful hair. Hair Rebonding change this dream to reality. This is the one of the most happening fashion trend followed by the girls of the present generation.

The process of hair rebonding is actually a chemical process, which is somehow similar to the process of hair straightening. The procedure goes about like this. All the hair types are attributed with a particular bond, which is natural. It can be curly, wavy or straight. In hair rebonding, the hair of curly or wavy nature is passed through some chemical exposure. Relaxants or softeners are applied on the hair to break the bond and then again by the application of a neutralizer the physical bond is restructured. Thus a wavy or a curly hair gets a straight look. The hair rebonding is to some extent a permanent process, until the hair grows longer.

The time required for a complete rebonding session depends upon the length of the hair. Hair till the shoulder takes about 4 hours and till mid back it might take 8 hours or more. The process involves washing the hair with a mild shampoo, conditioner is not used. After this the hair has to be blow dried fully. Then the entire hair is partitioned in shafts and the relaxants are applied in each shaft. The hair shafts decked with the cream softener or relaxant are kept straight by means of a thin plastic board. The relaxant is left for about ½ hour depending on the hair type. Over exposure to the softener can be harmful to the scalp and the hair. After this the hair is steamed for 10 to 40 minutes according to the type of the hair and then rinsed off. The next step is to blow dry the hair and apply the keratin lotion. Then the hair is ironed with a flat iron. A ceramic iron is better than the metal ones. It is done to remove the curls still remaining. The expert stylist will keep on ironing until the hair look straight and gleaming. After this a neutralizer is applied to rebind the hair and stabilize it. It is kept for about 30 minutes. The neutralizer is washed off with cold water and then the hair is again blow dried. A hair serum is applied to give body to the hair. Lastly the hair is again ironed to attribute it with the final touch up.

The experts in the Beauty Salon will provide some essential guidance to you post re bonding session. The hair shouldn’t be washed at least for 3 days after the rebonding. No hair accessories such as clips or rubber bands should be used for three days. It is also advisable to wear a shower cap while taking a bath, as at no cost the hair should get wet.

The rebonding should never be done by an inexperienced and inefficient stylist. Excessive use of chemical over the hair during re bonding might cause harm to the hair and can lead to breakage, thinning, drying and falling of hair. However taking proper care will just leave the hair beautiful and won’t spell any harm. The rebonding process also cost a lump sum and so keeping the beauty and the cost factor in mind one must take adequate care aftermath of the session.

The hair care schedule to be followed after rebonding is as follows,

•The hair should be oiled and steamed in every 15 days and a hot towel treatment should be followed for deep conditioning.

•Regular oiling of hair is also advisable.

•A shampoo meant for straightened hair should be used.

•A conditioner should be used after each shampoo.

•A hair serum is also a must.

•Don’t blow dry the hair often.

•Natural hair packs like aloe vera, yogurt, egg and olive oil should be used.

•Always include green vegetables, sprouts and nuts in the diet.

•Touch up the hair in every three or six months depending on the rapidity of hair growth.

This is all the essentials of hair rebonding, so be adventurous and go for the look from the magazine cover.

Shape Of Eyes - Enhancing Tips

Shapes of Eye and How To Enhance Them with Makeup

There is a great amount of potential for enhancing what is unique about your eyes. It helps to identify the specific shape and setting of your eyes and to use special eye make up techniques to bring out their beauty. The skillful application of eye makeup is an art. It's a way to express your feeling, your mood and your sense of style.

1: Wide-apart eyes :

It tends to give your face an open, youthful appearance. This look can be intensified by applying the strongest eye makeup effects near the outer corner of the eye. Keep shadow uniform and within outer corners. Brush lashes straight up.
Eye Make Up:
To make the eyes appear closer together,
Use more intense eye shadow colours near the inner corner of the eyes.
Line eyes completely – top and bottom – from inner to outer corners.
Apply a medium-toned shadow to lids and creases, concentrating the colour on the inner corners.
Use mascara generously, on both upper and lower lashes.

2: Close-set eyes :

This eye have a dramatic, sultry look. It can be enhanced by concentrating colour near the eye's inner corners. Extend smoky shadow beyond outer corners to exaggerate them. Brush lashes out.
Eye Make Up:
To make the eyes seem farther apart,
Apply the most intense colour near the outer corners of the eyes.
Line top and bottom of eyes in any colour, but begin drawing a quarter of the way out from the inner eye.
Smudge lines.
Dust a highlighter (or light-coloured eyeshadow) just below the outer corners of lower lashes to call attention to the outsides of eyes.
Brush mascara on to upper and lower lashes.

3: Evenly spaced eyes :
These are about an eye's distance apart. They can be made to look special with many eye makeup looks.

4: Almond eyes :

These are the most common eye shape with their upswept lift at the outer corner. These eyes calls for creativity. These eyes can be made to look deeper and more intense.

5: Small eyes :

They are proportionately smaller in comparison to the rest of the facial features. To enhance small eyes line upper and lower (never inside). Use pale, shimmery, eye shadow. Curl lashes.
Eye Make Up:
To enlarge small eyes
Apply a medium-toned shadow (such as soft grey or blue) to the crease.
Use a soft-coloured liner (try taupe) on the top and bottom lash lines, extending the top line across the entire lash line and the bottom line from just under the iris to the outer corner.
Sweep black mascara on upper lashes.
Apply light shadow on the eyelids.
Apply more intense shades in the creases.
Add lift to the outer corners.

6: Prominent eyes :
These eyes which set far forward in the face tend to dominate the facial features. The eyelids are too pronounced. Medium to deep shades of shadow on the lids help to minimize their appearance. Liners applied to the lash bases from corner to corner gives prominent eyes a smoldering and mysterious look.

7: Hooded eyes :

These eyes are set so the natural crease in the eyelid is not readily seen. Highlighting the brow bone and lining the lash base gives hooded eyes an alluring shape.
Eye Make Up:
To enhance hooded eyes
Apply a medium to dark shadow on the crease and hooded area.
Sweep a lighter shadow on the brow bone and on the inside corner of the eye.
Draw a very thin line along the top lash line (to keep the eye looking open) and smudge
with a cotton swab.
Apply black mascara to upper lashes.
Line upper lash-line only. Gradually soften shadow as you approach the brow.

8: Deep-set eyes :
This seem to recede, need to be brought forward. The eyelid crease is set back so the area from the base of lashes to brow bone seems hidden. To enhance the deep-set eyes line upper and lower lids (never just upper). Choose light shadows -pale pink, peach or beige- of eye shadow. More intense shading on the brow bone also gives the eyes prominence.

Oriental eyes :
These eyes have a distinctive lift at the corner and have very little lid. The depth of the eyes can increase by deep shades of eye shadow and the dimension can be increased by applying eyeliner as close as possible to the lash base.

To Enhance Bulging eyes :
Draw a fairly thick line all the way across the top lash line with a brown or black pencil.
Apply a medium to dark shadow on the lid and in the crease. (As on the body, dark colour makes the features recede.)
Finish with a coat of black mascara on both upper and lower lashes.
